Round Four Southend June 12th
Well it's the day before the Southend round of the STCC and it looks like it's going to be WET,
I don't like the wet, well that's not quite true !! I ove the WET !!!! I just don't like the damp tracks that come between wet and dry .......
Race Car fully prepared and the spare car has been transformed into a WET CAR with a lot of silicone used with various plastic boxes now holding the electrics sealed with silicone !! I am sure the electrics will be fine, it's just the motor I am not too sure about.
Fingers crossed it will be DRY tomorrow but it does not look like it will .... Partly because I can't run my chrome shells in the rain ! The red & black shell I have done does not look great .
I am unable to attend today for the Saturday practice as I am part of an R/C demonstration at a special event

Race Day
After a couple of quick practice runs I was very happy with my car only needing to raise the ride height. I could go into qualifying confident I could make the top 3. And I could have had pole but for a big mistake on my part easing off the power when I crossed the finish line forgeting the loop was another 5 metres down the track .
The following text comes from Central Booking race report ......
Qualifying over, in the TC4, it was Duncan in top spot, Lisa in 2nd, 2.5s behind followed by Trevor in 3rd 1.25s down.
1st round of finals started in constant drizzle, with Lisa taking the win from Duncan by 4s followed by Jason Potter, who snuck in from 4th and Trevor have a bit of a handfull dropping to 5th.
All the finals in the 2nd round went without any hitches, in fact it was surprising that no one was really suffering the bad weather, however as the finals went on it was becoming more and more constant heavier drizzle, we completed the round with Trevor taking this round from Duncan and Lisa in the TC4 class.
So, onto round 3, which after watching the first heat, i was ready to stop things, asked the TC4 A-Final drivers if they really wished to continue, they said yea, but I then announced that this would be the last fuinal run as in my mind it was not worth all the potential damage to electrics, can are going to need stripping and bearing probably replacing aftre today anyway! So, the TC4 drivers went out, it was a good race with some excellent drift work by a couple of drivers, and I mean real drifting taking 3 corners completely sideways with very neat and controlled changes in direction left, right, left. However, Duncan was on a flier and pulling away from everyone, Trevor was in hot persuit and started to visibly reel him in, and then losing it to over exuberance throttle action on the wet line (shade of Vettel), but clearly Trevor was relishing the conditions and again would catch him up, in the end Duncans car stuttered to a halt with a wet RX and had to pull of, Trevor then crusied through the last 4 laps now just pacing himself and keeping some clear air between him the Stuart Thurtle not pushing it as he did not want to spin out again and so Trevor finished 3s ahead of Stuart, who started in 5th, followed by Jason Potter, then Jak Sansom who had a superb drive starting in 10th, then Duncan and Lisa, who both pulled off with problems.
