Upgrades Fitted to my Mi4CX

OTM Steering Modification

Picture
This is the OTM steering mod fitted to my Mi4CX. There are about 20 of these in the world so I am happy one is on my car ! As used by Chris Grainger & Martin Hofer. This part gives more aggressive steering and other benefits over the standard steering part and is compared in performance to the Option Twin Bellcrank steering which is available .

The Long Top Deck

Picture
This is the Long Top Deck conversion .

Home Made Front Bumper

Picture
An Extra Large front bumper which looks better than having lumps stuck on the standard bumper.
Designed to reduce play between the shell and bumper .

Spec-R Geared Diff

Picture
The Spec-R geared diff is a must have upgrade in my opinion .

Alloy Block Suspension

Picture
Another must have option part
to allow the roll centre to be changed .
Pictured here is one of the eight blocks
that support the hinge pins . The kit standard plastic
blocks are great on tarmac , On some carpet surfaces
it will help the cars performance by changing the roll centre
with the alloy blocks and the angle of the lower hinge pin can also be changed when using the alloy blocks .

Motor cooling Fan

Picture
This is another must have option if you are running
in some form of stock class  as it will reduce the operating
temperature of your motor by 10 to 15 deg C. If wired correctly will continue to cool your motor while the car is sitting in the pits whilst you are marshalling .
Mine is mounted on a carbon fibre plate and plugs into the receiver battery port , so as long as the car is left swithched on it will cool it down .

Motor Protector Plate

Picture
A carbon fibre plate bolted to the chassis
made to exact measurments so it touches the motor mount . This protects the motors sensor port in a crash.

Motor Clamp Mod

Picture
The motor clamp has been machined out to allow for
better motor cooling with some types of motors , hard to see in this photo .

A better photo below of the clamp before it was installed.

Picture
Custom made centre pully for the Mi4CX or CXL.
This pullye allows you to run a geared diff in the front
and still keep the front belt running straight .

Picture
As you can see the spur gear is fitted in the centre of this pully so you get one belt either side of the spur gear .
