Well its got to be the best packaging I have ever seen on an RC kit .
Inside the box every step bagged up in number order , plenty of decals and can you believe it a BAG to keep your D06 in ......
Most of the needed Hop up parts are included in this kit inc the Ali chassie Spring set and Roll Bar set
Carbon parts sanded blacked and glued and looking good.
Fantastic quality on the ali parts check out the laser engraving
Motor mount , center support and rear suspension mounts fitted the mounts can be used on the left or right to give different toe settings along with two others supplied in the kit gives good options for the rear.
Front suspension mounts same system as the rear for adjusting inboard toe in toe out and width .
Gear Diff parts , standard build as per any gear diff , A good build Tip From Matthew Prigmore is to sand the back of the gears with wet and dry to get them super smooth then add an extra thin shim if required .
Fully built and smooth as smooth every part on this car has the VBC logo or D06 name engraved which is a nice touch .
Steering assembly made and fitted very smooth running on six bearings all aluminium parts .
Spur gear and layshaft built and fitted along with the two bando belts
Rear diff installed
Lightweight front spool fitted
Both front and rear belt tension is set with the small screw in the center of the photo by locating into the adjuster ring , nice and easy to do adjustments
Rear dive shafts built arms fitted and top links , the Red Blades are an option part and are self lubricating , note the nice arrows engraved onto all the turnbuckles
Outer pin is secured by a grub screw locating on a groove on the pin and the Hex bolts on
Front C-Hubs fitted with a top hat in the top and bottom again the pin is secured by a grub screw from below but locating beside the pin not on it so it has much more c-hub to fix to .
The kit comes with double jointed front drive shafts as standard .
Front roll bar fitted and set up as per kit instructions and its working perfectly which is always a sign of a good car
Rear roll bar fitted as the front works perfectly these are the standard kit 1.3 bars fitted also included in the kit is both 1.2 and 1.4 front and rear bars
Next up the shocks these are True Big Bore shocks
Shocks being built currently sitting in the shock pump having the air sucked out of the oil , Check out one of my other projects as how to make a cheap shock pump.
Rear shocks fitted , plenty of options on shock angle four holes at the bottom (arms have to be flipped over to access the other two) nine holes on the shock tower .
Front shocks fitted again loads of options on where to fit them , four different pairs of springs are included in the kit .
Floating servo mount secured on the center line of the car ( servo saver not included in the kit )
Lipo stops are a nice touch simple but effective keeps the lipo away from the belt by 2mm
Front lipo stop screwed to the floating servo mount
Lipo retainers hold the lipo in place very well.
incorporating the aerial mount into the servo mount is a nice touch
Front bumper fitted and thats just about it
Just enough room to get everything in although if the receiver was bigger it would be tight
Ready to test
